| Description: | - Assist in the design of aftermarket aircraft parts by gathering reverse engineering data from existing OEM samples. |
| Duties: | - Uses standard measurement tools such as a micrometer or caliper.
- May be required to use or program a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to gather data from coplex parts or surfaces
- Creates 3D CAD models and dimensional data reports from reverse engineering data.
- Compares drawings against parts to verify dimensions. |
| Qualifications: | - Has good analytical,written and oral communiation skills.
- Detailed oriented
- Skilled in the use of office software: Microsoft Excel and Word
- Familiar with ANSI 14.5 dimension and Geometric tolerance standards
- Familiar with manufacturing methods and processes related to the creation of precision machine parts such as gears, bearing, seals, etc.
- Experience with Solid Works preferred
- Reverse engineering and CMM experience is a plus
-Aviational engineering is a plus
Bachelors or Associates degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
