| Description: | Provide quality assurance by auditing manufacturing suppliers (PPAP or similar) and performing quality planning on new products. |
| Duties: | � Perform quality planning in support of new product development. Review design drawings and advise the engineer on how the designs might be revised to improve quality and reduce inspection costs.
� Recommend inspection methods and sampling plans for the supplier and Wencor quality.
� Provide technical liaison between supplier manufacturing and Wencor quality.
� Visit suppliers in order to audit the supplier manufacturing and inspection processes. Assess whether the supplier�s processes are sufficiently controlled to meet Wencor requirements.
� When necessary, assist the supplier to prepare control plans, perform gage studies and FMEA, and other forms of process control to support Wencor quality.
� Assist Wencor to develop or improve tools for tracking and reporting supplier quality.
� Identify, track and resolve supplier quality problems.

| Qualifications: | � Must be familiar with manufacturing methods and processes, including: metal removal, forming, assembly, and molding.
� Must have some training in the use of statistical methods, types: SPC or SQC
� Must understand the proper uses and limitations of inspection tooling
� Must be able to read detailed manufacturing drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T
� Audit suppliers for compliance to Wencor requirements.
� Work with suppliers to submit planning (PPAP). Work with Wencor engineers to review and approve supplier submissions (PPAP).
� Bachelor degree in a technical field or science, and a minimum of 4 years experience in manufacturing and quality. |
