Description:Wencor LLC (headquartered in Springville, UT) primarily distributes components to the Aerospace market. In addition, Wencor also supports the following value-added business lines:

1. PMA � Wencor designs, qualifies and manufactures certain replacement components under a PMA approval process through the FAA for supply to qualified repair organizations.
2. We are also certified to do Repair and Overhaul on a limited number of Aerospace sub-systems in their US facilities.
3. Kitco- At the Salt Lake City operation they have a separate business line that does kitting and assembly for Military and Commercial Aerospace clients.
4. Via our Miami operation, we are a licensed manufacturer of certain hydraulic line assemblies for the commercial aerospace market in addition to our normal distribution support for local MRO�s.

Our products primarily support the repair and overhaul operations of Commercial Airline fleets via distribution and other specific value-added services. We have global capabilities with worldwide sales, 3 distributions and support facilities in the US, as well as support sites in both Europe and Asia.

Duties:Reporting to the Director of IT this position will be responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the RDBMS.

Assist IT Director and development staff in the selection of and migration to a relational database management system (RDBMS) from current isam file system.

General responsibilities include the following:
� Assist in DBMS Hardware sizing, selection and growth planning.
� Assist and train team in the table design, normalization and index optimization.
� Design and manage a data warehouse in conjunction with current developers and users.
� Assure database is tuned and configured for optimal performance in our environment.
� Assure best practices are used in backup and replication for 24/7 availability and disaster recovery.
� Recommend and create stored procedures.
� Recommend and create departmental standards and procedures for database administration.
Familiarity with Cobol file structures and isam files.
� On call or arranged for coverage 24/7.

Qualifications:� Must be US citizen

� Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Database structure and design.
� Eight years experience with Linux, Unix, Aix and Windows.
� Five years of current DB2 or Oracle DBA experience.
� Five years of SQL and OLTP database design.
� Five years of application and stored procedure development.
� Three years of current Data warehouse normalization / de-normalization experience.
� Three years of experience with clustering.
Experience in a Xsam (isam, vsam, ksam, c-isam�) to RDBMS migration.

� Experience with a multi-site implementation of an IT Data Warehouse system (and/or the conversion of a custom flat file business system to one operating on a relational data base).
� Experience supporting a distribution business or other business with similar characteristics (high part number count, low volume and somewhat unpredictable demand).
� Bachelor of Science Degree in a Computer Science or IT related field.
� Typical years experience in field of 8+ years.
